Gloucester has the “benefit” of having elections every year. This means that Liberal Democrats are virtually always in election mode campaigning in Gloucester. In some ways this is good as it ensures we remain on our toes delivering leaflets, talking to people and working for the different wards all the time. However it can be a bit of a strain especially each March/April, when elections tend to rule the lives of many of us.
We also need to find candidates to stand in all wards. Sometimes this is for key marginal wards where we work hard to win, sometimes it is for wards where frankly we have less chance of winning but need to give people the opportunity to vote Liberal Democrat. Being a councillor can be rewarding, interesting and hard work. We are always on the look out for people who either want to work hard to try to get elected or are willing to help fly the Lib Dem flag.
Should you wish to learn more, or feel you would like to do either, be a councillor or fly the flag please contact Cllr Phil McLellan on 01452 616305 or Cllr Jeremy Hilton on 01452 501206
